Kingdom Overflow a church congregation for an emerging generation. We believe God is drawing people to himself and together and calling them out to live lives of intimate worship, expectant pursuit, extreme love and to overflow out.We believe that God has called us to create a church that has the same values as our parent church, St Luke’s, but with a specific mission. To equip, train, mentor, facilitate and release people to become leaders in this generation who disciple others.We often say that “discipling” is like the ripple effect. Once one person is discipled, they go and disciple another person, who disciples another, who disciples another.. so on and so forth! We believe that as we make disciples, pretty soon revival will kick off…
Worship is our highest priority – As we worship we believe that we don’t only give glory to God but we also encounter Him, and it’s from that place of encounter that our hearts are changed and we find our true identity in Him. Worship isn’t only in song, it’s our whole lives giving back to Him for all that He’s done for us.
There’s a hunger in this generation that wants more and more of God. We long to draw closer to God and participate in the gifts of the Spirit. We want to be a generation that is prophetically speaking into people’s lives and praying for the sick, a generation that will give themselves no rest until the world encounters Jesus.
Jesus tells us to love our neighbour as we love ourselves. Giving everything and expecting nothing in return, loving unconditionally to reach people’s broken hearts and for people to realise ‘There’s goes the church, and there’s something different about them’. No judgement, no bullying, no gossip no slander, instead a heart for people that’s desperate to see them meet with Jesus and be changed.
Jesus tells us in Matthew 10:8 to ‘Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those with leprosy, cast out demons. Freely you have received; freely give’. Our mission is simple – to make the name of Jesus known. Jesus wants us to go and reach the last the least and the lost with love, building relationships and showing the power of God.
Because Kingdom Overflow is a church plant for an emerging generation, we have loads of different ministries and events that you can get involved with. Whether you want to come along and just chill out with friends, you want a quiet and reflective space to think, or you want to serve on a team, you are most welcome!
Our church services that take place on Sunday evenings at 6:30pm. With refreshments before the service at 6:00pm. We spend time together worshipping, learning more about Jesus and building community with those around us. It’s a great place for meeting new people and an even greater place for getting prayer for anything that you need help with. Our focus is that Kingdom Overflow is a safe place where everyone feels comfortable whilst pursuing the values of the church: intimate worship, expectant pursuit and extreme love.
Our Friday night café, which starts at 8pm, is designed for you to be able to relax and have fun with your community, whether that be with friends you bring along or new people from other places. We have sofas so you can just laze around and chill with your friends, games for you more competitive types and great events (for example: live music night, cage football, climbing wall and basketball) that are just pure fun! There’s also a prayer room if you want to spend a while in a more quiet place and either pray by yourself or ask for prayer from someone else in there.
